Q&A & Support

Find answers to frequently asked questions about managing finishes, scraping pages, and customizing templates.

Security & Access

Enter your email address on the login page to receive a secure magic link in your inbox. For added security, each link works only once. To log back in in the future or on another device, simply enter your email again to generate a new link.

If you don't receive the magic link within a few minutes, please check your Junk/Spam folder, as automated login emails can sometimes be incorrectly flagged by email filters. Also verify that you entered your email address correctly on the form.

Look at the very bottom of the sidebar on the left. Click your profile avatar card, and click the Log Out icon button on the right. This will securely clear your session cookies and redirect you back to the login page.

Web Scraping Help

The scraper scans the page's metadata, structured JSON-LD schemas, and gallery elements to fetch up to 6 high-resolution candidates. You can cycle through them using the left/right arrows on the product preview image, or click the small thumbnails in the review panel to select the best one.

Some retail websites use anti-scraping techniques to block automated collection. In these cases, the scraper cannot safely retrieve details automatically. We suggest using the 'Add Material Manually' option to write the material details, or manually copying and pasting the details. Always review and verify all scraped details for accuracy before saving.

The scraper attempts to extract the Product Name, Manufacturer, Price, Supplier (from the website name), and the top 5 product specifications or dimensions found in details tables/lists.

Updating & Syncing Materials

When you edit a material in the global Library, any project item referencing it will detect the changes. On the Project details page, a 'Review Changes' option will appear next to that item. Clicking it opens a comparison window where you can see side-by-side differences and choose to either sync all updates or selectively copy individual fields.

You have two ways to build your project schedule: (1) 'Assign Material from Library' lets you select a reusable finish that you already created in your global finishes library, and (2) '+ Add Project Specific Material' lets you create a one-off custom finish (by scraping a website URL or manually typing details) directly for that project. Project-specific finishes are kept inside that project schedule only and do not clutter your global finishes library.

Project Collaboration

Open any project and click the 'Collaborators' button in the toolbar. Enter a registered team member's email address to invite them to the project. Once added, the project will appear on their dashboard in real-time, allowing them to view, edit, and assign materials. Note that only the project owner can invite/remove collaborators and delete the project.

You can share finishes library materials by inviting collaborators to a project. When you assign materials from your library to a shared project, all collaborators added to that project can view those finishes and copy them directly into their own library. This allows easy, seamless library sharing across team members.

PDF Exports

On the Library page, scroll to the bottom of the sidebar to the 'Studio Branding' section. Click 'Upload Studio Logo' to upload a file (PNG, JPG, or SVG). Make sure to check the 'Include logo in PDF' box. When you generate a PDF for any project, your custom logo will replace the default header spacing.

Since exported PDFs are generated and opened automatically in a new browser tab, check if your browser has blocked the pop-up window. You should disable pop-up blockers for this site, or change your browser settings to allow PDF files/tabs to open in a new window.
